PlateSeal™ Foil Sealstrips™
- Foil strips for sealing a single 8-well row of a 96-well plate or a single PCR 8-tube strip
- Ideal for standard PCR, storage (DMSO resistant), light sensitive assays and robotics
- An economical and more user-friendly alternative to strip-caps; no sore thumbs and fingers guaranteed
- Creates an excellent secure seal to minimize sample loss; evaporation rates are comparable to or better than strip caps.
- Precision cut to a smaller dimension to seal a single 8-well row of a 96-well plate or a single PCR 8-tube strip
- Each sheet contains 6 SealStrips on a continuous backing liner for ease of use
- Strips can be used to selectively cover individual plate rows to prevent accidental pipetting or to re-seal rows that have been pierced
- Excellent chemical resistance (e.g. DMSO)
- 0mil aluminum minimizes shredding during removal
- Conformable foil allows visual verification of seal security around each well
- Pierceable with a pipet tip or robotic probe for direct sample recovery
- Specially formulated adhesive provides an excellent seal to minimize evaporation, reduce cross-contamination and prevent spillage
- SealStrips remove easily and cleanly from plate surfaces with no splash back as can occur with strip-caps
- Features two end-tabs with perforations for ease of handling, application and removal
- Temperature Range: -80°C to +120°C
- Certified DNase- & RNase- free
- A non-locking workstation is recommended for sample prep (e.g. 96 round-well PCR plate or deep well block)
- Removal of the end-tabs at the perforations is recommended before cycling
- Do not fold foil around sides of tubes
- A final sealing step is highly recommended in the thermal cycler because 8-tube strips flex during handling
